MIEF - 2013

General Information:

From November 21st to 23d, 2013 at Pavilion 75, All-russian Exhibition Centre, Moscow was held Moscow International Engineering Forum MIEF-2013 organized by Exhibition Company “Mir Expo” and Moscow Confederation of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers), under the auspices of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the City of Moscow.

Moscow International Engineering Forum MIEF - 2013 worked as a place, where specialists in the sphere of engineering, representatives of authorities, business and general public can discuss the current state and prospects of development of the industry in Moscow, mechanisms for modern industrial policy; where successful Russian and foreign industrial enterprises are able to demonstrate the advanced manufacturing technologies and products.

Within the framework of Moscow International Engineering Forum was organized an exposition consisting of Moscow industrial enterprises and engineering centers based on technical universities. Among them:

Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, State University demonstrated innovative development of its students- International student project “3D printer for nanomaterials”.

Engineering Center of Innovative Casting Technologies and materials (EC ICTM), Department of Casting Process Technologies (CPT, MIS&S) introduced its working-out in the sphere of foundry technologies and their application in engine building, aviation industry, automobile industry, tractor building and in production of space technology.

The students of Bauman Moscow State Technical University demostrated their progress in the work of project "Formula Student".

Moscow State Industrial University attracted visitors attention by such working-outs as: three coordinate micro milling CNC machine, hardware-software system for remote access to equipment, Cu and Pb ion implantation in the details of structural steels and titanium alloys, new alumina ceramics from waste of aluminum alloys, system simulation of vertical continuous casting, device to control the time of impact.

Among the exhibitors there was such companies as: Axitech, Ecoinvent, Technomash, Quantorform, engineering company “2K”, science park “Slava”, etc. Authoritative scientific and technological community - Russian Union of Engineers, took part in expositional and congress part of the Forum.

On November 21st in the framework of Moscow International Engineering Forum in big conference hall of pavilion 75, VVC , a conference “ PLM technologies in engineering” was held. The Conference gave a possibility for exchanging of experience and knowledge in the sphere of products lifecycle management, automatisation of technological processes, industrial designing and data management.

Among visitors of the Conference were researchers, developers and users of PLM technologies.

On November 21st took its place another conference called «The publication of specialized magazines as a form of informational support of engineering» moderating by Publishing House «ConfInMedia» MCIE(e).

On November 22nd participants and visitors of Forum, as well as journalists were invited to Ritz Carlton Hotel (Tverskaya street 3, Moscow), where Conference «The qualified engineering personnel is a necessary condition of the industry development» took place. The Conference consisted of plenary and three sectional sessions.

On November 23d Moscow International Engineering Forum continued its work on 75 pavilion of All-Russian Exhibition Center, where under the support of leading technical universities of Moscow State the Roundtable "Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth" were held.

Participants and visitors noted that Moscow International Engineering Forum is the necessary and actual event with meaningful thematic for the development of industry in Moscow and in Russian Federation on the whole.

As an annual event, the second Moscow International Engineering Forum will be hold on November 2014.
