The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (The RF CCI) makes its contribution to the development of the national economy on the basis of the long-standing native traditions and the world business practice and experience.
The RF CCI are representing the interests of Russian entrepreneurs in their relations with government authorities, creating favorable conditions for establishing a socially-oriented market economy, providing assistance in building an appropriate legal environment and business infrastructure.
At present the system built up by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry comprises:
- over 170 territorial chambers of commerce and industry;
- nearly 200 Federal-level and over 250 regional-level entrepreneurs' trade associations and similar regional associations representing the key sectors of the Russian economy;
- over 70 major companies delivering efficient performance in the key leading sectors of the country's economy
- about 40,000 enterprises and organizations in various ownership categories;
- upward of 30 RF CCI committees responsible for various lines of activities and business sectors, some 800 committees, commissions, councils, other nongovernmental units created by territorial chambers; and other public formations set up by territorial chambers;
- representative offices in foreign countries.
The RF CCI combines a wide range of companies from small firms to large corporations in all business areas: including industry, domestic and foreign trade, agriculture, financial and other services, etc.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation has put assistance in investment and innovation area as one of the major priorities. The RF CCI coordinated its activity with the local Chambers of Commerce and Industry to make their work more effective and productive.
