On the 14-16 of April, 2009, The 3rd International Forum of Intellectual Services for Business “BusinessIntelligenceService – 2009” took place at the Expocenter Fairgrounds (Pavilion7, Hall 3) in Moscow, Russia. The event was organized by Mir-Expo Exhibition Company under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of The Russian Federation (CCIT RF), and with the backing of the Russian Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology, the All-Russia Research-and-Development Institute of Certification (VNIIS), the International Institute of Business Quality, the National Business Incubation Association and ZAO Expocentre.

Reaching the goal set up by the Organization Committee – “to hold the B2B event for businesses delivering a complex of intellectual services to other businesses” – is an evidence of the necessity to hold such a forum in the future despite the crisis in the global economy.

In the official speech of welcome to the Forum participants Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of The Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin emphasized that in times of severe economic situation the demand for the intellectual services that stimulate the efficiency of carrying on business, strengthening of its competitiveness, is on the rise. Vice-President of CCIT RF Vladimir Isakov and Vice-President of the Russian Society of Appraisers Evgeniy Neiman, in their salutatory addresses, noted the topicality of the Forum’s agenda as well.

More than 40 companies representing the major players in their scope of activity took part in the Forum. The participants showcased their business proposals, know-how and services to the Forum attendees as well as familiarized themselves with their competitors’ potential.

The Organization Committee has received an approving response after the event from the exhibitors. A number of them have announced their intention to take part in the next forum. According to the managers of exhibiting companies, their participation in the “BusinessIntelligenceService – 2009” Forum has allowed them to share their experience with each other, make new promising business contacts. All in all, more than 500 experts have attended the Forum.

“Anti-Crisis: New Opportunities for the Russian National Economy” Conference took place within the framework of the 3rd International Forum “BusinessIntelligenceService – 2009”. At the Conference the papers on the topics of certification, IT-consulting and appraisal that raise the urgent issues of the intellectual services market have been presented.
