Development of industrial and economic
connections, science-technical information exchange,
introduction and application of innovation technologies to
the sphere of developments, designing, manufacturing and
operation of hydraulic structures (OHS) - these are the main
goals of the International Specialized Exhibition "Gidrostroy".
According to the opinions of the participants,
the exhibition turned out to be a successful event, and all
the aims have been achieved.
In spite of the continuing influence of the
economic crisis and the difficult situation in the
construction industry, experts note positive trends and
areas of possible growth. These promising areas include the
construction of hydraulic structures. Reducing the level of
work performed in the field of engineering and the need to
update the outdated infrastructure objects and to construct
the new ones require active and coordinated activities of
all the market players.
Being a modern marketing tool
stimulating the development of the industry, the
International Specialized Exhibition "Gidrostroy" was to
represent all the areas of construction in the aquatic
environment, development of design and science-research
organizations, achievements of domestic and foreign
companies. Active participation in the exhibition of not a
numerous for the moment, but of the "qualitative" number of
exhibitors allowed to get acquainted with the latest
technologies, to generalize gained national and
international experience of Water Engineering. It indicates
a positive outlook, giving incitement to solve the problems
in the interests of various economic sectors.
Main sections of the exhibition represented
the following areas: technologies of underwater construction,
special equipment for Water Engineering, materials and
constructions for building, maintenance and repair of
hydraulic structures, construction and strengthening of the
coastlines, construction of sheet series; designing of piers
and quays, ports and facilities for water transport;
construction and operation of hydropower facilities, seismic
stability of hydraulic structures, production of underwater
engineering and diving, equipment for underwater work,
underwater excavation; dredging, designing and creation of
artificial territories; hydro alluvial technology;
preconstruction compaction of soil bases, replacement of
soils, construction of salvage pockets bypass systems,
designing and construction of piers and strengthening road
embankments, construction of underwater pipelines,
production of pontoon bridges and ferries; corrosion
technology, reclamation areas, land reclamation, geological
and geodetic surveys, environmental equipment, water
treatment and many others.
The exposition area of the First exhibition
counted about 400 hundred sq. metres. There were over 20
participants including 3 foreign ones: from Germany, Finland
and Luxemburg.
The peculiarity of the exhibition is a wide
range of services, equipment and materials for the needs of
different users.
Equipment for dredging is presented by a
Finnish company AquamecLtd. The company has been
manufacturing multipurpose dredgers "Watermaster", which are
capable of installing wooden and metal piles when dredging
by reverse bucket dredger and cutter.
LLC "Oktyabrskiy SSRZ-NN"provides solutions
for designing and manufacturing of dredgers with capacity
over the ground from 20 to 300 m? / h. Also, the plant
manufactures pontoon bridges and ferries up to 300 meters,
wastewater treatment and drinking water preparation plants,
modernizes dredgers with highly-effective soil intake
device.
Manufacturing, sale, rental, installation of
sheet piles were presented by several companies at the same
time. The main global producer of piles, the company
ArcelorMittal CRPS (Luxembourg) offered U-shaped piles,
Z-profiles and sections used in combination wall systems for
port constructions.
Specialized company CJSC "Kurganshpunt" is
profiled on the production of sheet welded panels. As an
effective alternative to hot-rolled sheet piling, the
company's products used for application in the construction
of retaining walls when constructing and reconstructing
objects of different purpose.
Modern and cost-effective solutions to
strengthen the banks and to improve the coastal areas were
offered by the "Baltiyskie Berega" company. In its work, the
company uses sheet piles made of composite material and PVC.
LLC the group of companies "Profil" offered
the supply of steel and plastic piles (piles of panels) from
Japan, Korea, USA, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia,
Luxembourg.
The group "Gabion", which combines several
organizations offered designing and construction of
hydraulic engineering and road construction of gabion
structures. The sphere of usage of the presented
constructionss is quite wide: enhancing the shores of
reservoirs, lining of canals and dams, strengthening of road
embankments, protection of piers and pipelines, construction
of berths, biosediment bowls and drainage systems.
Group of companies "GT Morstroy" which
specializes at construction and implementation of sea and
river port complexes, geotechnical investigations and
engineering surveys, suggested wide range of services of an
integrated character as well as services for individual
solutions. FGI "Podvodrechstroy", CJSC "Pirs", CJSC
"Podvodrechstroy-1", The Group of Companies "Ryazanproekt",
LLC "Trest Zapsibgidrostroy" presented their services in the
sphere of integrated construction and designing of hydraulic
structures, ports, berthing front, ground infrastructure,
hydroelectric plants, dams, piers, underwater engineering
and diving operations.
LLC "Spetsprom 1" presented universal flexible
protective concrete mats (UGZBM) of various models.
Rectangular canvas of seperate elements fastened by a
monolithized artificial rope are used in the construction of
main oil-gaspipelines, bank stabilization, protection of
hydraulic structures.
"PromGidroEnergoMash" offered solutions for
designing and manufacturing of complete buildings and
structures, non-standard capacitance and crane equipment and
steel structures foк construction for different spheres of
life.
The company "ThyssenKrupp Gft Bautechnik GmbH"
demonstrated its potential in the sphere of production and
supply of special equipment and materials. The German
company offered sheet piling sections, bolting equipment,
vibrators, slaughter, piling, drilling and pressed technique,
as well as services of their own technical bureau,
consultations and development of structural solutions.
The LLC "Engineering Consulting Company"
involved into designing and construction engineering,
offered a wide range of services, from selecting
construction sites and development of design documentation,
followed by expertise before to construction and
commissioning.
During the three days of the exhibition nearly
500 specialists visited it. The general public was
representatives of ministries and departments, heads and
leading specialists of pool and water departments,
enterprises and organizations of the construction sector,
maritime and river industry, energy, intelligence and mining
and oil and gas industries, the sectors of ecology and
wildlife management, fishing industry, road building,
bridge-building , tunnel construction sector, Municipal
services, design and installation and research spheres, as
well as other industrial enterprises and educational
institutions.
Achievement of the main goals of the
exhibition facilitated in its part of the
scientific-practical seminar "State and prospects of Water
Engineering in Russia", where experts have presented their
reports:

The organizing committee got on the whole
positive opinions about the exhibition. Most of the
exponents showed their wish to take part in the Second
International Specialized Exhibition "Gidrostroy" that is
planned to be carried out on October, 25-27 in 2011 at
Crocus-Expo, Moscow.
PromHydroEnergoMash, Co., Ltd took part in the
exhibition Gidrostroy - 2010 that was carried out on
November, 1 - 3, 2010 at IEC Crocus Expo. The company is
working successfully in the sphere of designing,
manufacturing and mounting of non-standard capacitive and
crane equipment as well as of hydrotechnical constructions.
The exhibition, as the company members think, has been a
successful one. At the exhibition we met our partners with
whom we have already been in business relations for a long
period of time. We also managed to find potential partners
with whom we are now discussing our further cooperation. The
exhibitions of such kind are run very seldom, that's why
they are of great importance for the companies working in
the industry. Often the companies who could become partners
and work fruitfully in the sphere of hydropower engineering
hardly know about each other and as a result such
cooperation is sometimes built for years. The exhibition
Gidrostroy helps set business contacts and partner relations,
gives representatives of the companies an opportunity to
actively discuss their cooperation and prospects of
development, to develop at the market and to make their
status in the industry higher. Speaking about the minuses of
the exhibition, we can only note the small number of
participants, because the industry of hydropower engineering
has more companies, who could take part in the exhibition
too. Nevertheless, our company expects only future
development of the exhibition and is planning to take part
in the future exhibition organized by "Mir-Expo". We hope
that the number of participants will definitely grow.

in the International Exhibition Gidrostroy - 2010. Though
the exhibition turned out to be not as big as we would want
it to be, we had a plenty of chances to talk to our

exhibition will attract much more participants and will
allow us all develop our business.
